1 ONE CHAIN CHARDONNAY, "THE GOOGLY" - AUS - £ 14.95
Peter Leske has built up an enviable reputation for being a brilliant, technical winemaker with Nepenthe and has a very high degree of respect within the trade. He has spear-headed a new venture of entry point wines called One Chain Vineyards. One Chain measures 22 yards - the length of a cricket pitch and the first wines to come from this stable are loosely linked to cricket. Light straw in colour with a soft pears and peach nose. Open fruits on the palate morphing gently into rounded, stewed notes with good acidity and a smooth, tropical fruit/floral finish.
2 SILVESTRE, OCHAGAVIA, SAUVIGNON BLANC - CHI - £15.25
Viña Ochagavía is one of the oldest Chilean wineries dating back to 1851, the founder was Silvestre Ochagavía, a pioneering man responsible for introducing Chile to French vine varieties. The vineyards are located in the most renowned Chilean valleys, including Rapel, Casablanca and Maipo.
3 LOUIS CANAS RIOJA BLANCO, JOVEN - ESP - £16.30
Bodegas Luis Canas is situated in Villabuena, in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa, where cold winters provide the vines with a much needed rest and the very warm summers produce healthy, ripe flavour packed grapes. Made from the Viura grape, this wine has a lemon character with
a finish of melons and pineapple.
4 VILLA BRUNESCA PINOT GRIGIO - ITA - £16.80
Villa Brunesca is a family estate in the Piave region of the Veneto, North East Italy. A wonderfully crisp, zesty example of a wine that all too often is just plain dull! Full of citrussy fruit with hints of almond, this is a youthful, refreshing style.
5 MACON UCHIZY, DOMAINE TALMARD - FRA - £17.75
From a Domaine in the small village of Uchizy in the Maconnais run by the father and son team of Gerard and Philibert Talmard. This wine is full of crisp, boisterous apple and citrus flavours with strong exotic fruit overtones, set in a rounded buttery texture.

7 DOMAINE CROCHET SANCERRE - FRA - £21.20
As far back as the 11th century, vines were planted in the village of Bue by Augustine monks who recognised the intrinsic qualities of the stretch of slopes known as ‘Le Chene Marchand’. This wine has refreshing acidity and great length.
8 DOMAINE DEFAIX 1ER CRU CHABLIS - FRA - £23.50
Bernard Defaix, fourth generation of a family of vine-growers, started in 1959 with 2 hectares. Today the domain stretches over 26 hectares including vineyards in Chablis Premier Cru, Chablis and Petit Chablis. This wine is aged in stainless steel tanks so as to respect the typicity of the appellation, and it is characterised in the freshness, power and tenacity of this Chablis. The bouquet is dominated by mineral notes, which are often associated with delicate touches of citrus fruit.
